The Necessary Limits of Government

The Anti-Federalist Movement

Across America can be heard the voice of protest-a protest against an out of control, unconstitutional, tax and spend, Federal government. America today is ruled by power elites in Washington, D. C. who use the political system to maintain the status quo and assure their incumbency. From their positions of power, perks, and privilege America's political elites use the political system to advance a secular humanist socialist and utopian ideology. The philosophy of this political elite class is, by its very nature, in violation of the inherent rights of law abiding, taxpaying, moral Americans. Yet in all of the protest, there cannot be found anyone who provides a clear solution to the current unconstitutional and oppressive Federal government. Click HERE to read more..............

Ron Paul Is Too Radical

Recently I was talking with a friend at work about the current crop of contenders for the 2008 presidential election. During the conversation I noted that as a Southern conservative I could not find anything in the front running Republicans that appealed to me. At that point my friend glibly remarked that he figured that I would be a Ron Paul man because Paul and I shared a rather radical view of America. Letting that thought pass, we proceeded to discuss the downfalls of the four leading Republicans, where upon the only choice that was left was Ron Paul but my friend stated that he would rather vote for Obama than Paul because, as he put it, Ron Paul is too radical. Having to get back to work, the conversation was ended on that note but the thought of that well educated middle class family man's statement that Ron Paul was too radical for him, never left me for the rest of the day.. Nationalism: The Opium of Confused Conservatives

No doubt but that the title of this article will initially be rather infuriating to many conservatives. This is because too many Americans today equate nationalism with patriotism. These words do not carry the same meaning and when applied to national politics they produce very different results as it relates to the preservation of personal liberty, limited government, and respect for the constitution. Will Tea Party Conservatives Become Liberalism’s Useful Fools?

The pejorative term “useful fools” or the harsher term “useful idiots” was attributed to Vladimir Lenin by American anti-communists to describe liberals during the Cold War whose policies, whether intentional or not, tended to support international communism. Useful fools generally refer to those who unwittingly support a malignant cause through their “naïve” attempts to be a force for good. My concern is that honest American patriots in the Tea Party Movement (TPM) will unwittingly be used (“fooled” as in tricked) by America’s professional political ruling class into actually helping the political establishment in their never-ending efforts to maintain the political status quo. Quantitative Easing? Liberty Trumps Keynesian Economics

The Federal Reserve’s Quantitative Easing policy was reduced to its simplest form in an animated cartoon posted on You Tube November 11, 2010 titled “Quantitative Easing Explained.” During economic recessions we often hear political pundits and special interest groups demanding the government “do something” to stimulate the economy. The “something” demanded of government is to stimulate the economy by printing money and dumping it into the economy in the hope of the new money will encourage business people to borrow and spend the new money thus increasing employment. This theory (unproven idea) was the brain child of British economist John Maynard Keynes. Some Keynesians have suggested literally dumping the new money out of helicopters! The Harsh Reality of Federal Supremacy!

California, Arizona, & Louisiana

We the people of the once sovereign states live in the shadow of Federal tyranny. For example; when the people of California expressed their sovereign will in an open plebiscite a Federal judge nullified the will of the people; when the elected legislature of Arizona passed a law to defend the people of that once sovereign state against armed criminal invasion originating from a foreign country, the Federal President filed a suit in the Federal court to prevent Arizona from executing its inalienable right of self-defense; and when the elected governor of Louisiana attempted to protect his state from a man-made disaster in the Gulf of Mexico the Federal bureaucracy stepped in and halted his efforts—the central theme of all of these examples is the fact of the harsh, oppressive, and unconstitutional reality of America’s current system of Federal supremacy. A Name Does Reveal A Truth

As any parent will tell you, naming a child can be a very stressful and important part of parenting. Indeed, the first thing we usually learn about a person is his name. What is true in the life of a family is just as true in the political life of a nation. Click HERE to read more..............

BP & States Rights

The BP Oil Spill in the Gulf of Mexico threatens unimaginable damage to not only the coast of Southern Gulf States, but also threatens to destroy a way of life enjoyed by generations of people living on Louisiana's Gulf Coast. In an effort to protect the people of Louisiana, the state encouraged local people to begin efforts to capture the oil before it could invade Louisiana's wetlands. In response certain energetic locals devised a system of sixteen barges and began using them to vacuum up the oil. As the State's governor noted "These barges work." Obama wants your 401K!

As hard as it might be for some to believe-"our" Federal government has set its sights on private 401(k) pension funds as a source of revenue to bailout depleted union pension funds! Yes, that's right! Hardworking, taxpaying Americans who saved for their retirement may now find that their money has been seized by the Federal government and used to pay for unfunded (or miss-managed) union pension plans. Nullify ObamaCare!

If "we the people" allow the Federal government to destroy our right to decide about an issue as important as our personal health care then we are no longer free people but we have become serfs of our political masters in Washington, D.C. We must act now to overcome the tyranny of the political status quo and return ultimate political authority to "we the people" of the once Sovereign States. Click HERE to read more..............

In Search of Good Politicians

Are there any good politicians? In modern America where would one look to find an example of a "good" politician? But as Bill Clinton taught us-it depends on how you define "good." It also depends on a clear understanding of the difference between a politician and a statesman. Click HERE to read more..............

Senator Mary Landrieu: Don’t Recall—Nullify!

Senator Mary Landrieu is confronting the unprecedented effort of her constituents mounting an effort to recall her. She, like the rest of the ruling elite in Washington, D.C., earned the wrath of her constituents by arrogantly ignoring the expressed will of citizens while attempting to force "we the people" to subserviently submit to their will by ramming unpopular legislation through Congress. Libertarian Support for Federal Tyranny

The idea of Federal supremacy-the Federal government is the sole and ultimate arbiter of the limits of its constitutional authority-is so well entrenched in Washington, D.C. that even some beltway libertarians have bought into the ideology of "Constitutional" Federal tyranny. Justin Logan of the Cato Institute in Washington, D.C. while doing a book review in The American Conservative, March 2010 wrote that Congress "founded a sovereign state with the ratification of the Constitution in 1787." I can overlook the wrong date for ratification-what I cannot not overlook is the gross error of claiming that the Federal government created by the compact of the Constitution ratified by free, independent, and sovereign states created a sovereign Federal state-which of course implies the thirteen Sovereign States, by ratifying the Constitution, renounced their "freedom, independence and sovereignty" and became one people-a single sovereign nation/state. Even in America, there can only be one Sovereign for a county. Either "we the people" who compose the sovereign community within our respective sovereign State are sovereign or the "sovereign state" (Federal government) that was "founded" by Congress "with the ratification of the Constitution in 1787" is the American sovereign. Christians Marching With Marx

In our modern age of political correctness it is not uncommon to find various Christians, including many noted ministers and evangelists, snuggling up to the detractors of the South. In Mississippi during the fight to keep the Confederate flag emblem on its State flag, Mississippians heard "leading" ministers of various denominations condemn the hated symbol. In Georgia the same scenario was played out, only this time the preacher was in the Governor's chair and did all within his power to destroy any effort to protect the real flag of Georgia. In churches across the South the Fourth of July will be celebrated with the shameful sounds of "The Battle Hymn of the Republic," but God protect anyone who requests the playing of "Dixie" in church. Political correctness has descended upon the South with a near fatal impact and all too often it is Christian leaders who are leading the assault. Click HERE to read more..............
