'The South Was Right!' goes to
France |
|
Perhaps for the first time in modern history, Yankee
lies about the War for Southern Independence, slavery,
and the South today have been exposed in France.
Stephane Nicolle, a French television producer,
produced a documentary that seriously questions
several Yankee myths about the South. This
documentary was broadcast in France during the months
of October and November 2003. Walter D. Kennedy,
co-author of 'The South Was Right!' and author of
'Myths of American Slavery' gave a strong defense of
the cause of the South that was, no doubt, different
from what most people in Europe have been told by the
victorious Yankee. This is the second time Mr.
Kennedy has had the pleasure of defending the South to
a European television audience. Approximately five
years ago, Mr. Kennedy was interview by the British
Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) and gave a stirring
defense of the South. It is the Kennedy Brothers'
desire that one day Europeans and American will have
the chance to know the complete and true story of the
Southern Cause.
